    The Board's Role

    The FFPL Board's role in advocacy is to ensure that:

    1. The community is aware of the importance of the FFPLTC
    2. The Municipal Council and administration fully understand the important role played by the FFPLTC in the community
    3. Provincial and federal legislators respond to the needs of the FFPLTC community

    Advocacy Goals

    1. Community

      The FFPL Board shall endeavour to build and maintain good relationships with its clients and with community organizations that may use FFPLTC services in order to ensure their continued support.

    2. Municipal Council

      The FFPL Board shall endeavour to represent the community's need for FFPLTC service to relevant Municipal Councils on a continuous and consistent basis.

    3. Provincial and Federal Legislators

      The FFPL Board shall endeavor to work with library associations such as FOPL, OLA, OLBA, and OPLA. A relationship will be cultivated with our provincial MPP, federal MP, and associated government ministries to promote the development of excellent FFPLTC service.
