Definition
A volunteer is a designated person who performs tasks for the FFPLTC without wages, benefits, or expectation of monetary compensation.
The purpose of a volunteer is to enhance and extend FFPLTC services, not to replace paid FFPLTC Staff.
Volunteers shall perform duties, which enhance the services offered to our community, including but not limited to the delivery of services to home-bound patrons and assisting at programs.

Purpose
The FFPLTC welcomes and encourages the business community, service clubs and other organizations to become sponsors of Library events, programs and services, which will benefit the community by allowing the Library to increase the level of service it provides. The Library will also actively seek out partnership opportunities with individuals and organizations in order to advance the mission and objectives of the Library

Purpose
The FFPLTC, as a public space, is able to provide a multi-purpose, accessible room to groups, organizations and individuals.
This policy will provide guidelines for rental and booking procedures outside regular FFPLTC-related programs and meetings.

According to the Public Libraries Act, library boards shall allow the public to reserve and borrow circulating materials free of charge.
The public includes all residents within the municipality for which the library board is established.

By contractual agreement, the FFPLTC and the following Public Libraries have agreed to share resources, providing patrons with enhanced access to library materials and information.

Programs are defined as any group activity offered to the public that FFPLTC Staff coordinate, plan, promote or present.

Purpose
To provide a procurement process that will enable the FFPL Board to acquire the required quality and quantity of goods and services required for the best value, while ensuring an open, transparent competitive process.
This policy ensures compliance with the Municipal Act s.270(2).
